Addition of Rafale and our Governance

It’s indeed a great move to add Rafale in Indian Airforce. No doubt this will be a big morale boost for Indian Army. Especially under the current circumstances when our country is going through rocky relationships with our neighboring countries.

It’s important to note that about a decade or less, India was not facing any challenges from our neighbours except Pakistan. But in the last 6 years, our relationship with all our neighbors has severely declined. Countries like Nepal, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Mynamar and even Bhutan have started dictating terms and raising unwanted issues.

No doubt after becoming Prime Minister, Mr. Modi toured almost the entire world and more than once visited our neighboring countries. However, we all remain in dark about the purpose of these world tours except perhaps brand building? Any yield of his visits would have definitely helped the country but what we are witnessing is the exact opposite. This is the direct result of the present governance poor handling of External Affair Ministry added by non focussed Defense, Finance, Health and Internal Security ministries.

Unfortunately,  on India-Maynamar border, Assam Rifles soldiers were attacked. Just few days ago Indian soldiers were attacked by Nepal police at the Border. This is in conjunction to the ongoing China issues we are facing and our permanent tussle with Pakistan.

I believe our country can take advantage and make a strong move with the addition of Rafale. However, this is only possible with a strong and focussed governance otherwise our country will continuously suffer and even Rafale can't do anything.
